Description: Spend a night out with your fellow Bulldogs at a local hot spot. No need to plan a reunion, the Abbey Pub will be the place to celebrate! Description: Commemorate our Centennial with a special program in the auditorium! Alumni from across the decades will perform under the direction of former teacher, Jeff Berke. Schurz alum, Bob Dekas, the 9-time Emmy award winning producer of CBS Sports’ March Madness tournament will be speaking, along with Chicago newspaperman, radio personality and noted author, Rick Kogan. New alumni will be inducted into the Schurz Alumni Hall of Fame. Nominate someone today! Finally, we will conclude our celebration with Reunions by Decade held throughout the building. This is a once in a lifetime event!
Proceeds from this event will benefit:
- Schurz Alumni Association Scholarship Fund
- Restoration of the legendary M.P. Moller (1936) pipe organ in our auditorium, with a demonstration performance at the Centennial Celebration
- Upgrade of technology in our auditorium with a state-of-the-art projector and screen
- Purchase and support of a display cabinet to be placed in the Library, to spotlight Alumni accomplishments and events
- Alumni newsletter production and mailing expenses
- The nomination of Schurz High School to be on the National Register of Historic Places
